Desire2EXCEL Teaching and Learning Award
The Desire2EXCEL Teaching and Learning Award recognizes Desire2Learn users who have created and designed exceptional courses that enhance teaching and learning at their institution, and contributed to the overall success of eLearning.
Examples
Exceptional courses represent a powerful combination of factors including:- Unique teaching and learning possibilities;
- Dynamic interaction with multimedia content; and
- Significant problem solving solutions.

Instructions and Judging
- Complete the application with as much detail as possible
- All online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses will be judged together
- Judging panel includes Desire2Learn staff and members of the FUSION 2009 Planning Committee
- Winner will receive a $500 honorarium
- Winner will be required to do a brief presentation at FUSION 2009 for the Desire2EXCEL Award Presentation
Participants
The award nominations are open to all faculty, staff, and administrators of Desire2Learn institutions. All courses must use the Desire2Learn eLearning Suite.
Course Access
The course to be reviewed must be a previously and/or currently offered course. The panel of judges will require guest instructor level access to your course. In the event that there are privacy concerns with having our judges viewing student data or course content please ensure that the course is an exported copy. The judges will require access to the course for at least an eight week period following the submission of this form.
