On behalf of the Tennessee Board of Regents, I welcome you to the 2008 Desire2Learn Users Conference.
The Tennessee Board of Regents is delighted to support the efforts and initiatives in the 5th Annual Desire2Learn users conference. The 2008 conference planning committee has developed a dynamic program. The program is designed to include current new trends in eLearning, the sharing of ideas and best practices and networking at entertaining social activities. Additionally, you will see powerful new Desire2Learn features as well as innovative products.
This year’s keynote speakers are leaders in innovation, learning and the community. Their ideas about learner engagement, leadership, and the next generation of learning will inspire and prove relevant to what lies ahead. User-led concurrent sessions will offer practical examples and an opportunity to learn from colleagues working first-hand with the Desire2Learn platform. An increased focus at this year’s conference with hands-on learning will provide valuable experiences in working and learning with the platform.
While you are here, I encourage you to explore Memphis and the state of Tennessee. A variety of social activities have been organized to enhance your enjoyment. I trust that your stay with us will prove to be both informative and fun!
We look forward to sharing and learning alongside other Desire2Learn users from across North America.
Yours truly,
Robbie K. Melton,
Associate Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs, e-Learning
