Business Development Representative

General Description:
The Business Development Representative will the support Learning & Creative Services business to establish strategic priorities for the revenue growth and market expansion. The primary focus will be establishing new client relationships in adjacent markets, along with maintaining and growing business within existing clientele. This includes establishing near and short term plans in conjunction with the management team to achieve the company's goals while creating a strong value based brand with the client base.
We are looking for a creative business person interested in market research, customer relationship management, go to market activity, and creative development.

Main Duties:
- Engage in new business development and funnel management activities with a strong focus on handing incoming inquiries and dedicated prospecting activities.
- Develop and execute appropriate business development strategies to meet revenue objectives.
- Demonstrate value through solution positioning to uncover customer needs.
- Develop formal proposals as required for new and existing customers.
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with key internal partners to effectively address client requirements.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and changing environment while consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations and company targets.
- Establish rapport and cultivate relationships with clients through the opportunity cycle that will lead to repeat & referral business.
- Responsible for ensuring completion of all required opportunity reports and detailed documentation, including timely entry of data into CRM and other automated systems. Maintain consistency and integrity of data.
- Provide information to clients or prospects for bids and proposals within the Learning & Creative Services space.
- Help set business development strategy and direction for the Learning & Creative Services group. Foster teamwork both inter and intra divisional with our corporate sales and account management teams.
- Help manage external Learning and Creative partnerships
- Participate in Learning & Creative Services offering and go to market strategies
Work Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2+ years in a face to face sales or business development role.
- Knowledge, understanding and demonstrated use of solution selling concepts.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, at decision maker levels.
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed with strong organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated maturity, self-confidence and flexibility with good business sense.
- Ability to adapt and excel in fast paced, changing market conditions.
- Solutions focused, creative, collaborative, detail oriented, process oriented, forward thinking, marketing knowledge and acumen.
- Possess excellent computer skills.
- Familiar with the software industry and professional services is considered an asset.
- Must be able to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and able to work in an environment where tight timelines/deadlines are normal course and last minute changes a given.
- Direct knowledge of the marketing agency or creative design agency is a definite asset.
- Multi language skills are a definite asset.
Education Recommendations:
- Candidates should have a B.A. /B.S. in a related field.
