General Description:

The Client Marketing Specialist/Manager is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of Client Marketing Strategy and Plan. As a key member of the marketing team, the successful candidate will champion the Desire2Learn Client Experience across all facets of client interaction. Additionally the successful candidate will promote the adoption of incremental Desire2Learn products/services with the client base to meet sales/revenue goals.

The position holds a number of functional responsibilities within marketing including interfacing with other departments to create and implement initiatives to enhance client relationships. This role is responsible for creating the framework for the Desire2Learn client experience and ensuring that the company delivers on it.

Main Duties:

  • Key contributor to the development of the company's client experience strategy, plan development and implementation
  • Deliver tactical execution on all aspects of the marketing & sales plan to achieve revenue and related targets, specifically for the existing client base
  • Actively work with the Account Management team and directly with clients to define current and future client requirements
  • Define requirements for and conduct research studies to understand and assess customer satisfaction and loyalty measurement
  • Work cross functionally to ensure the Desire2Learn Client experience is defined, implemented and delivered on as per plan
  • Interface with other members of the marketing team to develop/adapt marketing campaigns/materials including lead generation, brochures, advertising, newsletters and other direct marketing materials to focus on existing client base
  • Create sales support materials to ensure sales team focused on the client base can effectively communicate offerings
  • Create and manage metrics to measure and report on program effectiveness
  • Develop and manage marketing budget

Work Experience Recommendations:

  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of relevant experience developing marketing programs for client base management
  • Experience across the marketing spectrum, specifically in the areas of planning, market research, customer satisfaction measurement, loyalty management, cross-selling, and event management
  • Previous experience in eLearning, the education sector, enterprise software and/or high tech solutions providers preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with peers and clients
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure with constant changes and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial literacy

Education Recommendations:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • MBA preferred (depending on undergraduate degree)
