Core User Interface Developer

We are looking for talented, passionate web developers to join our core UI team. The user interface components and systems our platform team designs and builds are used by our entire development group, and will be seen by millions of users.

Type of Position: Full-time
Location: Kitchener, Ontario
Main Duties:
- Writing beautiful, scalable, efficient, cross-browser front-end UI components and systems
- Collaborating with our user experience and graphic design teams to ensure our applications are usable and accessible to everyone
- Troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving performance bottlenecks
- Researching and evangelizing best practices in front-end engineering
- Designing software using design patterns and best practices
Work Experience Recommendations:
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience with web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
- 1+ years of experience with C#, .NET and Microsoft tools and technologies
- 1+ years of experience with T-SQL in SQL Server 2005/2008
- Knowledge of but not reliant on JavaScript Frameworks (jQuery, Dojo, Prototype JS, etc.)
- Experience working in high-performance web environments
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, ATAG, etc.) is considered an asset
- Graphic design and web usability experience is considered an asset
Education Recommendations:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
