Desire2Learn offers a casual and relaxed dress environment; shorts and sandals are common in the summer time!

When you arrive and when you leave each day is flexible. We are a results-oriented workplace which means we expect you to put in the time to complete all projects on time and to the best of your ability. There is never a shortage of work to be done!

We are looking for industry experts and senior managers who can help shape our organization and mentor their fellow employees, and new grads that are looking for an opportunity to make a difference. We welcome people who can bring experience and expertise to our team as well as those who are looking to jump start their careers.

In general, a day of work would include being part of a passionate and gifted team and working on a variety of challenging yet enjoyable projects. Whether it's developing a new tool for our Learning Environment, interacting with clients from some of the largest universities in North America, or executing the launch of a new product, the projects are always very rewarding and continually test your abilities. There's also a lot of laughter in the office each day.

We offer frequent company social events such as summer picnics, Winterfest parties, sports teams and access to fitness equipment. Being involved in the community and partaking in charitable events is also a large part of who we are.

We encourage our employees to further their professional development through continuing education, seminars, certifications and other opportunities and we offer tuition reimbursement on an approval basis. Internally, we use our own software to support the Desire2Learn Academy. This allows us to transfer knowledge and aid in training through courses developed by employees for employees.

Applying online through our Careers page is best. You are able to apply for multiple positions at one time and hiring managers have direct access to these resumes.

Your online application will be immediately added to our database to be viewed by the appropriate people. We directly contact all applicants whose qualifications meet our needs for the position. Your application will remain in our database for at least six months and may be considered for positions that come up in the future.

For all our positions, we conduct at least two interviews and potentially an initial phone interview. We always conduct reference checks for all our potential hires as well. Some positions will include assignments and/or quizzes during the hiring process.

We look for people who are passionate about what they do. Our employees need to be self-motivated and show initiative in their work. In order to succeed at Desire2Learn, you will need adaptability, enthusiasm, and drive. A sense of humour wouldn't hurt either!

Yes, for some of the positions we even have multiple openings. We will promptly remove the job posting if the available position has been filled.
