French Translator (Ref #D2LFT2009)
General Description:
French Translators are responsible for the translation of all D2L communications from English to French and French to English. This includes user documentation, press releases, website content, language used in the D2L product suite, and any other communication that requires translation. Translators will work with Product and Marketing teams to better understand the context behind material to be translated. This position requires excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong command of Microsoft Office.

Main Duties:
- Timely and accurate translation of communications and content from English to French and French to English
- Editing and maintenance of French communications
- Proof reading and quality assurance of French communications
- Maintains consistency of the documents (internal and external)
- Follow document templates and stylistic guidelines (internal and external)
Work Experience Recommendations:
- At least one year of related experience in translation and/or translation verification (English to French)
- Experience with translation related to a technical product considered an asset
- Proven ability to author and edit and to produce professional-quality documentation
- The successful candidate is a good communicator, displays professionalism and has well-developed interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of authoring and content management tools
Education Recommendations:
- Bachelors degree in Translation or equivalent or Certification in Translation
- Member of the Association of Translators of Ontario (ATIO) an asset
