Implementation Consultant (Ref #D2LIMC2010)
General Description:
As part of the Professional Services organization, the Implementation Consultant provides technical leadership, coordination, and facilitation in the successful implementation of Desire2Learn solutions. As part of a team of Implementation Consultants and Deployment Consultants you would work with our clients to establish system requirements and then follow through on meeting those requirements. You will be asked to draw upon a variety of technical, design and communications skills sets in order to help Desire2Learn clients achieve their goals.

Location: Kitchener, Ontario
Main Duties:
- Primary client technical contact in the Implementation Phase of Desire2Learn solutions
- Requirements analysis with clients to establish an implementation and configuration plan for the solution
- Design and configure integrations between enterprise systems such as the Desire2Learn suite of products and Student Information Systems
- Propose, design and develop custom solutions for clients
- Keep up to date with new technology trends to help facilitate client learning solutions
- Maintain proficiency with Desire2Learn Web Services APIs to help clients develop custom integrations
- Design and develop solutions using most effective technology for a given situation like XML, XSLT, MS SQL or various scripting languages
Work Experience Recommendations:
- 3+ years of experience working with relevant programming technologies
- XML
- MS SQL
- ASP
- 3+ years of experience working with Internet technologies, Web 2.0 concepts, Software as a Service (SaaS), eCommerce
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Knowledge of computer hardware
- Familiar with Enterprise principles of Scalability and Reliability
- Comfortable in communicating with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to derive requirements
Education Recommendations:
- Bachelors of Computer Science, Applied Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Advanced degree in any of the above fields if work experience requirements are not met
