Marketing Specialist

General Description:
The Marketing Specialist plans and coordinates all regional marketing related activities across Asia Pacific. He/she will develop and implement marketing campaigns and activities to maximise sales of assigned product lines across various industry sectors in the region.
The incumbent will plan and manage all regional presence through tradeshows, conferences, seminars, webinars, and so on. The Marketing Specialist reviews and analyses market/competitor data to evaluate existing and potential product/service markets and new business opportunities.
This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) that will work remotely from a home office.

Main Duties:
- Plan, execute and analyse marketing campaigns to increase sales prospects and product awareness across target sectors in the Asia Pacific region
- Localise and manage all regional marketing collateral including writing of content, and production of materials
- Perform competitive intelligence research within industry, and maintain a knowledge base of comparative results between Desire2Learn and competitors
- Plan and implement all regional conference and tradeshow participation on behalf of the marketing team
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's advertising activities in the region in conjunction with the advertising and PR specialist
- Provide input to product management based on industry research, competitive intelligence, and marketing research results
- Produce research and data to support or guide strategy for the sales team
- Interface with members of the sales and marketing teams as required to complete work, build sales funnel and achieve brand building objectives
- Develop metrics to understand the ROI on marketing investments in the region
- Prepare quarterly and annual budget requirements for marketing activities in the region
- Provide regular status updates to the Marketing Manager and/or Director of Marketing
Work Experience Recommendations:
- 3 - 5 years' experience in planning / running marketing campaigns, initiatives and events
- Experience working within a marketing firm or department with specific work performed for a software or high-tech company
- Ability to work remotely
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Self-motivated, result-oriented individual
Education Recommendations:
- Bachelor's degree required (marketing focus is preferred, or Engineering or Computer Science with applicable experience)
