Location: Kitchener, Ontario
Main Duties:
- Designing software using design patterns and best practices
- Developing components and web applications using C#, .NET and Microsoft SQL Server
- Writing and reviewing technical specifications
- Troubleshooting, performing problem analysis and fixing bugs
- Software testing
- Mentoring junior and intermediate software developers
Work Experience Recommendations:
- 2+ years of experience with cloud computing
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- 5+ years of experience with C#, Java or C++
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and enterprise relational DBMSs
- 2+ years of experience with .NET and Microsoft tools and technologies
- Familiarity with Windows Azure or Amazon EC2 is an asset
- Experience building large consumer web sites is an asset
- Experience with big data architectures is an asset.
Education Recommendations:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Masters or PhD in computer science is considered an asset
