Trainer (Ref #D2LTRN2009)
General Description:
We are looking for a training and learning professional who can bring their wealth of experience to assist Desire2Learn's clients achieve their goals. At the core of the role, you will have to teach clients to effectively utilize the features and functionality of the Desire2Learn suite of software learning products. Your past experience will help guide participants to make most effective use of training elements when developing their own courses.

Location: Kitchener, Ontario
Main Duties:
- Deliver training on Desire2Learn products to maximize client effectiveness with the features that are relevant to them
- Increase learners understanding of the subject matter and how it can be applied
- Adapt training delivery techniques for both face to face and fully online modes
- Develop new training materials utilizing multi-media technologies
- Collaborate with other professionals to design and develop courses
- Assist clients in utilizing best practices for developing their own learning strategies
- Travel required to client sites, primarily in North America
Work Experience Requirements:
- Comfortable delivering training to audiences of 1 to 50 or more people
- Strong communication and presentation skills through multiple delivery methods (online, live, written)
- Knowledge of eLearning and Learning management Systems
- Able to explain complex concepts to audiences ranging in skill level from Novice to Expert
- Proven success in developing effective training programs and strategies
- Experience in developing and delivering adult education programs
- Adaptable and flexible to change
- Willing to travel 30-60% of the time
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in French would be an asset
Education Recommendations:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
