Announcing Edge Challenge 2013

Coming in Fall 2013, Desire2Learn is once again challenging developers to shape the future of education by building apps that enhance the experience of teachers, students and administrators. Submissions will be accepted from September to December 2013. Winners to be announced in early 2014. Stay tuned for more details on the contest rules, submission guidelines and prizes.

Desire2Learn Edge Challenge 2012 was a huge success

After receiving submissions from hundreds of participants, the submissions were narrowed to a shortlist of 27 apps. Eight leaders from the eLearning industry reviewed all the shortlisted entries and selected a number of winners across several categories.

The Desire2Learn Edge Challenge is about building something that matters; a sentiment that has propelled our success. We've kept things simple:

Desire2Learn and our partners believe in advancing great ideas. For us, a cash prize wasn't enough.

Our panel of esteemed Judges will be evaluating your submission based on the following:

Innovative: Does your team's application introduce a great new idea?
Impactful: Will your team's application make an important improvement in the lives of individual learners, or groups of learners?
Polished: Is the application ready to use and complete (including ease of use and design aesthetic)?
