David Halk

David is a proposal writer with Desire2Learn, working primarily to prepare proposals to clients and prospects. He works alongside numerous stakeholders inside the company to present and highlight the functionality of the Desire2Learn Learning Suite. Outside of the office, David translates his quick typing skills into music as an avid guitar player.

David O'Hagan

David is a Trainer and ePortfolio Evangelist with Desire2Learn. He works with clients to help them maximize the benefits from their e-learning solutions. David is passionate about ePortfolio and its revolutionary impact on the way people share ideas and learn and consults with clients on successful ePortfolio strategies.

Prior to joining Desire2Learn, David owned a coaching business focused on business and career coaching and has also worked in a variety of roles from marketing, communications, strategy, and customer service within technology companies. David has an international technology-focused MBA and is a trained facilitator and coach.

Greg Boyd

Greg Boyd is a member of Desire2Learn’s Corporate team. Working as the Account Manager for our growing Corporate client base, Greg is helping clients to realize the value of sound strategies for Education in their organizations, and how that can be enhanced through the effective use of Online Learning. Janna Cameron

Janna is a Senior Usability Specialist - on the Desire2Learn User Experience Team. She spends her days working with clients and Desire2Learn staff to make Desire2Learn’s products more satisfying and easy to use. She is a core member of the Accessibility Interest Group. She loves ginger cookies and good lattes.

Jeremy Auger

Jeremy Auger is the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President (CTO & EVP) at Desire2Learn. As part of the executive team, Jeremy is responsible for products, human resources, and strategic initiatives at Desire2Learn Incorporated.

After graduating from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Math in Computer Science specializing in Information Systems and Business, Jeremy joined the founding team at Desire2Learn. Desire2Learn has since grown from five to now over three-hundred employees, and Jeremy continues to have heavy involvement in corporate strategy development, product steering, M&A, business development, and is responsible for an effective organizational structure.

With a strong commitment to client success, and a desire to constantly evolve the state-of-the-art, Jeremy has been part of the Desire2Learn team since its inception, and continues taking a leadership role in accomplishing success within the online education industry.

Marsha Conley

Marsha Conley is a Senior Trainer and Consultant with Desire2Learn. In that position she travels widely to deliver training to new and existing clients on using the Desire2Learn Learning Environment. She also conducts virtual training sessions and webinars for higher education, K-12 and corporate clients. She has developed a new series of training courses on Best Practices in Online Learning Using Desire2Learn. Before joining Desire2Learn in September 2009, she had worked for American River College (ARC) - a large community college in Sacramento, California - for 10 years as the Instructional Technology Coordinator. In that position, she was the Learning Management System administrator and Technology Trainer. She provided technology training and support to over 1200 faculty and staff. The college switched to Desire2Learn as its LMS in 2008 after over 8 years with Blackboard. Marsha re-trained all the faculty members to use the new system and managed the conversion of over 3000 courses into the new system. Marsha has over 12 years of experience as an online instructor and over 17 years as a higher education faculty member teaching a variety of subjects. At ARC, she developed and taught an Online Teaching Institute which more than 1500 faculty members have completed to learn how to teach online, hybrid and web-enhanced courses. Marsha also has extensive experience with a variety of ePortfolio systems and has helped many institutions develop and implement ePortfolios for their students, faculty and staff. Marsha has a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney in Australia and a B.A. from the University of California at Davis. She has many academic journal publications and has delivered numerous conference presentations.

Nikita Vikhliaev

Nikita is a Marketing Assistant and Co-op at Desire2Learn. Working directly with several groups, he coordinates and works on initiatives and messaging that lets the world know about Desire2Learn, its products, and its mission. He is also involved in public relations and social media to ensure that everyone’s voice is always heard. Outside of Co-op, Nikita currently attends the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, where he is pursuing a degree in Mathematics and Business Administration.

Shawn McEwen

Shawn is the Program Manager for Mobility at Desire2learn Incorporated. He is responsible for building a strategic community that bridges innovation and collaboration between students and technology partners. Shawn has over ten years of experience in Enterprise Mobility at Sybase / SAP, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies to define and implement mobile strategy.

Yvonne Monterroso

Yvonne is the Product Manager for Learning Repository and ePortfolio at Desire2Learn where she has worked for 5+ years. Yvonne says it is her four and six-year-old children who are constant reminders of children's technical savvy and the importance of nurturing life-long learning.
