SYNOPSIS: Partnership to deliver the foundations for building effective eLearning programs
Vancouver, BC and Kitchener-Waterloo, ON – January 12, 2005 - eLearn Campus, a recently launched company offering online training and the first-in-Canada Certificate in eLearning Management, today announced it has partnered with Desire2Learn, a world-leading provider of enterprise learning systems, to deliver the foundations for building effective eLearning programs to individuals responsible for managing training and development initiatives within an organization.
This certificate program covers a wide ranging curriculum and includes an overview course in Effective eLearning Practice, two specialized courses in eLearning Design and Facilitation and the Management and Evaluation of eLearning, and a final Capstone Project.
The main benefit of the eLearn Campus approach is that it is highly applied. The curriculum is built around real world issues and examples.
The applied approach is also reflected in the use of an eLearning platform to deliver the program." We use eLearning to teach people about eLearning," said Rick Nigol, Director of eLearn Campus. "Desire2Learn's learning management system helps us do this with an outstanding suite of online tools for content presentation, communication, collaboration and administration."

Desire2Learn clients range from education providers such as schools, colleges, and universities to associations, health care, and other leading companies and organizations.
"We want to expose our program participants to the power of eLearning and the possibilities it offers," Nigol added. "The Desire2Learn system provides us with the means to do so."
"We're very pleased that eLearn Campus has chosen to use the Desire2Learn platform to deliver their eLearning training programs" said John Baker, Desire2Learn President and CEO."
