Desire2Learn Announces Call For Desire2EXCEL Showcase Contest
Desire2Learn Inc., a world-leading provider of mission-critical enterprise learning systems, today issued a call to faculty, staff and administrators of Desire2Learn (D2L) institutions and organizations for entries in the first annual Desire2EXCEL Showcase Contest. The Desire2EXCEL Showcase Contest aims to recognize the use of the Desire2Learn technology in an innovative and noteworthy way to benefit all users. The Desire2EXCEL submissions will be reviewed by the D2L Users Conference planning committee. Short-listed winners will present a five-minute presentation of their D2L project. Contest winners will be selected and announced through audience participation at the International D2L Users Conference, which will be held in Madison, Wisconsin on August 7-10, 2005.
WHAT: The Desire2EXCEL Showcase Contest is open to the D2L Community worldwide including, but not limited to, faculty, staff and administrators, who have used the D2L technology in a noteworthy or innovative way to benefit learners, staff, faculty and administrators.
WHEN: Submissions will close on May 31, 2005.
WHERE: Selected contestants will be announced June 14, 2005, and subsequently will spotlight their project during a showcase presentation at the 2nd Annual D2L Users Conference, Madison, WI, August 7 -10, 2005. All finalist contestants will become part of the “Desire2Learn Hall of Fame” and their names will be posted on the main Desire2Learn website at www.Desire2Learn.com and on the Users Conference website at www.Desire2Learn.com/uc2005. The contest will be judged at the D2L Users Conference by peers through an audience vote with applause.
