During the Product Spotlight event at FUSION 2012, Desire2Learn's ninth annual users' conference, attendees got a sneak peek at some of the exciting new products and feature enhancements that are on our horizon. These new advancements will help to further transform the teaching and learning experience as Desire2Learn remains focused on breaking down barriers, obsessing over the instructor and learner experience, and extending the open platform. Stay tuned for more details about these exciting new developments.

Upcoming Release
In our next generation release of Desire2Learn Learning Suite, these are just a few of the exciting enhancements that will be available to users:
- Native video enables learners and instructors to record video natively using Desire2Learn technology, stored in the cloud
- New discussion features such as collapsible forums and topics, a powerful search across forums and topics, and a reading view that enables inline discussion replies and the ability to record video and audio
- Course progress tool including a beautiful dashboard showing instructors the progress and performance of their whole class, and a User Progress tool where instructors, parents, and students are greeted with visualizations depicting progress and performance data
- Updated content interface which features a more intuitive and integrated way to organize and create content, enhanced drag-and-drop course creation, simplified editing workflow, and improved interaction with course material for students

Improving Student Success
Student Success System is an early intervention system that empowers institutions with predictive analytics tools to improve student success, retention, completion, and graduation rates. With statistical analysis and predictive models, instructors will be able to identify at-risk students and intervene appropriately to improve their rate of success and increase institutional effectiveness. Stunning visualizations will also be available on iPad with easy-to-read data and opportunities for interventions right from the app.

Learners who have utilized Desire2Learn ePortfolio have been able to successfully document their learning journeys throughout their academic career. With myDesire2Learn, learners can now continue in their lifelong learning with a cloud-hosted ePortfolio environment that enables them to build and showcase their achievements beyond their graduation date. It is owned and driven by the individual learner, who has total control in defining and directing their learning journey.
