The following Success Stories illustrate how Desire2Learn products and services are assisting Higher Education and K-12 institutions to achieve their eLearning objectives.
Brisbane Grammar School - Brisbane Grammar School, an independent day and boarding school, has origins dating back to 1868 and is committed to providing a liberal education to boys and now serves more than 1450 boys in Years 6-12
(ages 11-17). Recognizing the importance of technology, the school has incorporated technology into the core curriculum, requiring students to complete Information and
Communication Technologies projects in a variety of subjects as well as providing blended courses.
Calgary Board of Education - The Calgary Board of Education needed a learning management system that would be able to meet its myriad of objectives, including a
solution that was secure, scalable, accessible and easy to use for students, instructors, and administrators. As the second largest school district in Canada they had a vision of expanding
their eLearning opportunities with students, staff and into the community.
Columbia College - Columbia College, located in Columbia, Missouri with 31 extended campuses throughout the United States, required an easy to access,
and "always available" online system. Today their mission-critical application supports over 12,000 active learners accessing over 400 online classes.
Fanshawe College - Fanshawe College, located in Ontario, Canada, required an innovative and easy-to-use eLearning system for faculty and students.
Currently the Desire2Learn Learning Environment is used by over 13,000 learners across 1,800 online courses.
INFINITY - In 2007, INFINITY: Minnesota's Digital Academy was launched by Minnesota school districts to deliver fully-online classes across
the state. The INFINITY program consists of more than 47 high school courses using Desire2Learn Learning Environment. INFINITY partners with districts and other collaborations
from all over the state to expand educational options for students looking for credit recovery, additional coursework, flexible course scheduling, advanced placement options
or a different learning environment.
University of Arizona Nursing School - University of Arizona, located in Tucson, Arizona, was searching for a powerful, but flexible system enabling
them to convert an existing face-to-face Nursing PhD degree program. As the first program of its kind in a research-intensive university, the program received the WCET
Outstanding Work Award 2005 recognizing the innovative and effective use of technology.
University of Guelph - Office of Open Learning - Based in Ontario, Canada, the Office of Open Learning (OOL) relied on several learning management

by 163%, diversify the types of programs offered, and customize the tools found in the learning environment to fit their specific needs.
Virtual Virginia - Virtual Virginia is the combination of two distance learning programs, Virginia Satellite Educational Network and Virtual Advanced Placement
School. The ability to provide online courses has enabled the program to expand its
course offerings while ensuring that high quality learning opportunities are available to all students. During the 2007-2008 school year, more than 3000 students successfully completed
